Selkirk Rhyme & Reading Circle

Join us for Songs, Rhymes, Stories & Books, Healthy snack, Learning and Visiting. Our FREE program is for parents/caregivers and their children Birth – 5 years old.

What happens at Selkirk Rhyme and Reading Circle? LOTS!
We:
    - Learn rhymes and songs
     - Listen to a story
     - Spend time looking at books
     - Do crafts
     - Enjoy a healthy snack
Have time for parents to visit and share ideas while their children (ages 2 and up) are making their crafts
Parents and children (birth to 5 years) meet with the Rhyme and Reading team once a week at 10:00  for 11 weeks. This program is offered 3 times a year; Fall, Winter & Spring.  Families can chose the one session that would be best for them.  It is a relaxed 1 1/2 hours to learn nursery rhymes and socialize.
What are the benefits?
    - Parents gain confidence and see they can positively affect how their children behave and learn.
     - Children show improvement in language, develop social skills and develop listening skills. More importantly you have fun!
